Interview answer checker
A behavioural answer fails for two reasons: no structure, or no result. Record one answer and see how you actually speak it — then take the full test for STAR feedback on the content.
Say this
“Tell me about a time you disagreed with a colleague. What did you do?”
Record your answer
Up to 120 seconds. Audio is scored in memory and deleted right after — we never store recordings.
What this free check measures
Delivery: fillers, pace and long pauses, from the transcript. It cannot tell you whether your story has a clear Result — that needs the full test, which reads the content and scores structure and conciseness against STAR.
Use this to fix the delivery first. A well-structured answer delivered at 200 words a minute with fourteen fillers still lands badly.
STAR, in one line
Situation and Task in one sentence, Action for most of the answer, Result in the last sentence — with a number if you have one. If you cannot name the Result, the answer is not finished.
Questions
- Does this score my answer's content?
- No. This free check scores delivery. The full speaking test adds structure and conciseness scoring on the transcript.
- How long should an interview answer be?
- Sixty to ninety seconds is usually right. Two minutes is the ceiling unless the interviewer asks for more.
- Can I practise a real interview?
- Yes — Interview practice in Pro has fifteen behavioural questions with STAR feedback.
