Pronunciation check for work English
Read one work sentence aloud. You get a score for each word, plus a short rule-based tip. The check is about clarity — whether the words were recognised — not about sounding like a particular country.

What is measured
Azure returns accuracy, fluency, completeness and a per-word score. We show the words that were unclear or skipped, and give one tip based on the weakest word. No language model writes an opinion about how you sound.
Three checks a day are free. Pronunciation mode in Pro adds twenty work sentences and fifty phrases, with the same rule-based feedback.
Why accent is not the target
There is no single correct accent, and a score that punished one would be useless. The useful question is narrower: did the listener get the word? Slow down on the word you missed and say it in syllables, then in the sentence.
Questions
- Does this judge my accent?
- No. It reports which words were unclear or skipped. You get a tip about the weakest word, not a verdict on how you sound.
- Who processes the audio?
- Microsoft Azure Speech, for the length of the request. It is not stored by Plainly.
- How many checks do I get?
- Three a day free. Pro raises it to forty and adds the full sentence and phrase library.
